WhatsApp has officially rolled out the fingerprint unlock feature for all the Android users. Usually, we used to install third-party apps to setup a lock on WhatsApp just add a little more security to their data. Keeping that in mind and to make the process quicker and safer at the same time, WhatsApp has enrolled this new feature so that you can just open the app by a fingerprint. It was previously available for Android Beta users but is now available for all Android users. But still you cannot open the WhatsApp if your fingerprint stops working.

Earlier this year, WhatsApp rolled out Touch ID and Face ID for iPhone to provide an extra layer of security for WhatsApp users. Today WhatsApp has introduced similar authentication for android, allowing you to unlock the app with your fingerprint, on supported Android phones. To enable it, tap Settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint lock. Turn on Unlock with fingerprint, and confirm your fingerprint.
